Buying a home is often a game of compromise.  What can you miss out on to get almost everything else you want?  Can you make do with that because the house has this and this?

One of the big benefits of building your own home is that there is much less compromise and settling for the best you can manage.  Instead, you can look to have exactly what you want and the only one stopping you is the planning department at the local council - and expert builders know what they want to help overcome these problems!

With a self-build property, you have the greatest amount of control.  When you buy a new build, the property is already designed and you may have some minor control over elements.  But with a property you build yourself, there’s no need to compromise.

You can build a house that works for you.  If you want sunlight in a certain room at a certain point of the day, you can place the room in that position.  If you want to have a large kitchen and a small living room, go for it.  Or the other way around - the choice is yours.
